Coming back ( hopefully ) top the froggy vehicular tack - WHY ? do we accept that it is justifiable to NEED techno to live our lives ? P.C 's excepted

Do I want a motor that an electronic thingy has to attempt to find fault ?????

Do I need to constantly talk whilst driving ? a ' la , female beemer owners .....

you know what's ironic - apple 2 which got jobs and wozniak going at the very beginning was the very antithesis of what everything apple is about now. apple 2 was successful because of its open architecture despite the worst ever hardware specs any of the contemporary personal computers had. now what apple's done is turned that philosophy right around to a giant cash cow to leech off gadget and status conscious consumers of today.
sure, if you love apple products, go ahead and spend more than what it is really worth (obviously that's your problem) - but let's not make jobs someone who is not. he ain't no saint - just a great marketer with great ideas (i didn't say great products on purpose).
so going back to the original post, i think it was fully justified as it was not a personal attack on jobs.
and i like to have separate specialist devices rather than all in one.
as for a phone, give me a motorola dynatac any day - brain frying reception quality is second to none, baby!
