FCF LDS Fluid Discount

Post by GiveMeABreak » 24 Jul 2017, 12:01

When researching some LDS Fluid suppliers, I looked into one retailer Nielson CDG that Elis (EDC5) referred to me for comment. On looking at their description of the LDS, they were referring to Citroen as having 'Hydrolastic' suspension etc. - needless to say, I did contact them and explained the systems used by Citroen and the distinction between LHM and LDS etc. I kindly asked them to amend their website as Hydrolastic went to the wall with BMC / British Leyland many moons ago.

I had a response from Nielson CDG, thanking me for the info and they have now amended (albeit a cut down version) of their description and as a thanks, have offered members a 5% discount off all their products :-D

Here is their response, along with the coupon code:
Hi Marc,
We are very grateful for your comments and have changed the description listing on Fluide LDS as suggested. If you or your members wish to place orders please use the Discount code of 5% off all products.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for help in the future.

Coupon Code. NCDG5CUSOFF

Thanks again, all the best
Adrian
Here is the link to the LDS fluid, but from there you can navigate the site as required:
LDS Fluid Link - Nielsen CDG

I have not had the chance to use them personally, but 5% is 5%!

It's worth noting that their prices don't include carriage. Having said that those charges don't seem unreasonable to me:

England Wales and Parts of Scotland

Up to Weight in kg.
0.1 to 1.00kg £2.92
2.00 to 5kg £4.72
5.1 to 20kg £5.83
25.1 to 40kg £11.66
For prices over 40kg please contact us on 01792 818414

Yes quite reasonable when you consider GSF are £16.56 a litre (free del under 2kg / £20). That's why I think they can afford to give their 30% off codes! - Still more expensive. But like everything, shopping around is the key.

When the saga of my disintegrating clutch became a serious discourse on gearbox oils Nielsen's came up as recommended supplier of the appropriate spec. stuff. Nice people to deal with, although I eventually went elsewhere because while they were out of stock, I found an even better deal.

I recently contacted Nielsens regarding atf for the C5. I supplied my registration as requested and was notified my car uses 75-80 gearbox oil. Mmm maybe I won't use their services after all.

I never used the registration utility because it is always wrong on just about every website that uses that facility, so they are not unique here.

Just wanted to thank GiveMeABreak and all others that recommended Nielson CDG.

Ordering was a pleasant experience - communication clear and straight forward - delivery was on time.

I haven't opened the package yet - but positive feedback thus far.

My thanks to Steve at Nielson too.

Andle.
