Xantia Clutch Cable

Postby Andy » Tue Apr 17, 2001 8:27 pm

Hi
I am replacing the clutch cable on My xantia 1.9 TD, because the plastic clip keeps on braking off the pedal.
I am sure that the old cable wasnt routed correctly I have looked in the manual and all it says is fit the new cable the same route as the old one, making sure that it is fastened to the bulkhead,.
Well my old cable wasnt fastened to the bulkhead and it was very stiff to pull through the sleeving.
I have checked the cable and it is fine when off the car.
Does anyone know the correct route that the cable should go from the pedal to the clutch any advice very much appreciated

Looks like it needs a new clutch again, only had the last one fitted last December. Has anyone else had any probs with this bloody plastic clip.
