ZX Volcane re-build..

Post by nickplatten » 22 Feb 2002, 21:46

I'm about to do a re-build on my ZX, can anyone give me some advice as to what to look for/check?
I did a head re-build about 10k miles ago but something has gone adrift and oil and water are mixing in both directions...not masses but enough to “mayonnaise” nicely under the oil filler and dip-stick and goop in the radiator reservoir.
Also in an attempt to sort the sloppy transition, I'm going to replace the drive shafts as they are shagged (clicking when on full lock and very sloppy). Are there other bits that should be replaced to improve the slack? It’s had a new gearbox about 20K ago so that should be ok. Replace engine mounts?
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Nick
